Today was a tour day, riding 219 miles with excellent weather in the 80's, we were blessed today. We forgot about the time change causing Hi 'O' Silver to forget to set her alarm clock to Mountain Time, thank god Big Gal was cleaning her bike and came in and woke us up. Then the Chinese fire drill started, we were up at 7am, dressed, packed and on the road by 7:45 am. Causing Great Hornet to leave makeup less for the first time in her life (OMG.) Needing a quick meal we stopped at the Golden Arches and then noticed the tour bus, so we treked on, so Red led us on a brisk pace to Page, AZ so we could meet our 10:30am tour.

We arrived in record time but still needed a Golden Arches, as we were choking down our breakfast Big Gal noticed her receipt said 8:22am and that's when it dawned on us that we had ridden back into Pacific time. Now we had an hour & 30 min. to kill so we toured the Glen Canyon Dam Visitor Center. Okay by now we were relaxed and on schedule and arrived early for the Antelope Valley Slot Canyon Tour. The tour was so awesome that we we created a separate post. After lunch at one of our rest stops Red & Big Gal came upon 2 stray dogs so out of the kindness of their hearts bought them a bag of dog food before we got back on the road. Our next stop was Monument Valley Tribal Park.

The Monuments in the late afternoon sun are amazing. After navigating a herd of goats led by a dog (really, no person around) we headed into Mexican Hat to end our very cool tour day with a Navajo Taco. If you ever stay in Mexican Hat the San Juan Inn is the only nice place to stay. It had a nice patio areas to lounge & enjoy the view of the San Juan River and a nice restaurant on site.
Where do we find the separate post you created for the antelope slot canyon tour you mentioned?
